Responsibilities
- Perform all activities in a safe manner and within the context of all PepsiCo safety protocols.
- Support scientists in testing new ingredients and logging taste results in a database.
- Provide application support by accurately utilizing FMP’s and sweetener systems.
- Provide product formulation support by accurately preparing beverage and beverage concentrates.
- Perform shelf life and functionality testing of new FMP developments.
- Enter new raw materials and create eRMD’s for any vendor approved FMP submissions.
- Maintain laboratory and sample inventory of ingredients and supplies.
- Maintain laboratory equipment.
- Plan, conduct and coordinate production runs, manage ingredient orders, expiration, handling, prepare batch sheets, schedule and run tech center, ensure product meets specifications.
- Submission of samples for analytical and sensory evaluation.
- Document details in laboratory notebook.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Effectively work with members of other groups in order to maintain the lab or conduct lab work.

- Ability to manage multiple project tasks to support the individuals of the workgroup and manage time and expectations for workgroup needs. Effectively communicate conflict of requests.

- Must be well organized, capture work details and learning and highlight any unexpected learning.
- Computer Skills: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook (email/calendar).
Compensation & Benefits:
- The expected Compensation range for this position is between $55,400 - $83,150.
- Location confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field.
Desired:
- Technician and/or Summer Intern experience(s) at a consumer goods company.
- Laboratory bench work experience in school or industry. (Work in food and beverage industry a plus).
- Familiarity with common lab analytical instruments and beverage and flavor processing equipment.
