Position overview
Do you enjoy propose, organize and implement work to complete projects and achieve group and individual objectives? As a Sr Process Engineer, you will be providing technical expertise and engineering knowledge on unit operations within the plant by properly accessing the process’ designs, evaluates improvements and implements the most cost-effective solution together with the operations team to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing capability and capacity to achieve safe and optimal process and equipment utilization. Responsibilities
- Basic & Detail Design Engineering activities for the assigned projects in our chemical manufacturing plants in accordance with the Company established procedures.
- Preparation of PFD, P&ID’s, design calculation, project specific specifications, process analysis, procurement level specifications.
- Process analysis for existing processes and utilities to support project development, and manufacturing process upsets to a lesser extent but as needed.
- Process Safety Management work for process hazard analysis, management of change, pre-startup safety review and mechanical integrity.
Required skills and experience
- Develop exploration and assessment phase for projects. Develop project scope, budget estimates, schedules and execution plans.
- Preliminary process design work performing heat and mass balances, process simulation/design calculations, select and size equipment for process flow sheet development. Develop preliminary P&IDs, evaluate utility requirements and develop preliminary scopes of work.
- Develop equipment and instrument datasheets, size piping lines, develop equipment general arrangement plans.
- Prepare and verify FEED/FEL design packages with internal and external engineering resources.
- Preparation & Issue of RFQ/RFP for Engineering Design, equipment and construction. Evaluation of vendor’s quotations, clarifications, Technical Bid Analysis etc.
- Review Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong analysis and trouble shooting skills.
- Preparation of capital requisition documents and financial acumen.
- Ability to work with cross functional teams comprised of technical, production, planning, business and maintenance personnel.
- Process Safety Management requirements for contractors, process hazard analysis, management of change, pre-start-up safety review and mechanical integrity.
- Knowledge and experience with SAP is a plus.
- Fluent English skills required
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Chemical Engineering or Engineering field.
- Minimum 15 years process engineering work experience.
