The API Services Developer is responsible for building advanced custom and non-custom applications, web projects and integrations that make use of the Rent Manager API. These projects will serve clients as well as internal Rent Manager users by extending the functionality of Rent Manager and connecting Rent Manager to other applications. The API Services Developer manages implementation, testing and delivery of the projects including coordinating relevant project tools and processes. The API Services Developer will also serve as an API technical resource, as needed, to our internal users, partners, clients, and client contracted developers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Become an expert in the use of the Rent Manager API
- Become proficient in the Rent Manager product to the extent required to produce meaningful, contextually accurate, API requests and support other API users to the fullest extent
- Manage the development, on-time delivery, and maintenance of custom application and web projects
- Ensure well-written, testable, and high-quality code is produced
- Peer review code written by other developers
- Perform testing of code/projects to ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness to achieve desired results
- Resolve issues affecting project scope, quality, effort, risk, and timeline
- Serve as an API resources for guidance, instruction, and direction to API support staff
- If the need arises, provide the same support for other internal users, partners, clients, or developers
- Measure and monitor progress to ensure that a project is delivered on time and meets or exceeds expectations
- Translate project details between technical and non-technical audiences
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
- Application/web development experience
- Experience with C# and ASP.NET
- Experience with PHP
- API experience, including XML, JSON, serialization/deserialization
- Experience writing MySQL queries and using application code to connect databases
- Strong diagnostic skills and ability to research, troubleshoot, and logically determine solutions
- Detail oriented and able to follow written and verbal direction
- Team oriented, action oriented, self-motivated, and delivery focused
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and appointments in a fast paced environment
- Technical experience including: installing Windows software, web application deployment
