Location: Primarily virtual with some onsite work at Maryland Judiciary Information Systems, 189 Harry S. Truman Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21401.

Education: B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field

Years of Experience: Six (6) or more years’ experience as a Core Java Developer (application, integration, solution) as described below:

Provide development services for the mandated support and enhancements of the Attorney Information Systems (AIS) stabilization and modernization project, including:

a. Design,

b. Develop Code,

c. Unit test code,

d. And provide support during test cycle and postproduction support.

- Understanding of event driven design.

- Historical and proven knowledge and practical application of Java, Spring (Framework, Data JPA, Security, Scheduler), Hibernate (JPA, Validator), JSF (Primefaces), J2EE (EJB and JSP), Oracle 11g or higher, Junit Framework, JMeter, Web Services, SLF4J, logback, JavaScript, PERL, XML, HTML.

Ability to:

(1) Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, end-users, vendor development staff, and all levels of management and Judicial personnel

(2) Provide accurate estimates for Jira tasks using Scrum development process,

(3) Break down complex concepts into organized and concise units,

(4) Critically think and problem solve, and

(5) Quickly evaluate, learn and prototype new technologies.

Hands-on, Proven Experience with:

(1) Reverse Engineering and Refactoring code,

(2) Maintaining and developing web applications front ends using JSF/PrimeFaces,

(3) Developing scalable, secure, access-controlled Java SOAP and REST service APIs and implementations.

Experience with the following reporting requirements:

e. Weekly report communicating project progress and status,

f. Weekly time reporting on client-provided forms, and

g. Any additional reports as assigned by the supervising manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
