ABC Fine Wine & Spirits’ Architectural & Engineering Design Dept. is looking to fill a full-time CAD Technician position. This role will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of innovative and exclusive projects including Retail, Office as well as other types of Commercial Businesses. This description reflects the core activities of the role, but is not intended to be all-inclusive and other duties within the group/department may be required in addition to changes in the emphasis of duties as required from time to time.
MONDAY - FRIDAY 8am - 5pm
Responsibilities
- Setup drawings for Design Development to full Construction Documents
- Review project files for compliance with applicable Codes and Standards
- Produce accurate 2D drawings, 3D renderings (3ds Max)
- Coordinating drawing production in line with project requirements and in conjunction with multiple
- Disciplines, including, but not limited to Architecture, Mech., Plumbing, Elect. & Structural drawings
- Able to meet tight deadlines and able to work alone or with a team
- To contribute or otherwise assist as required
Job Requirements:
Minimum Experience, Skills, and Education
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD (rendering production using 3ds Max a plus)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, word, outlook, teams)
- Experience working in building services environment
- Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake above responsibilities
- Good Communications skills both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills
- Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information
- Self-motivated and able to take on responsibility
- Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily task
- A team player
- Technical Degree in Drafting or a minimum of 3 years’ experience preferred
- Knowledge of Construction industry terminology
- Knowledge of Construction Document Set Aesthetics
- Knowledge of Site Lighting & Photometrics
Physical Requirements
With or Without Accommodations
- May sit or stand at a workstation for up to 8 hours
- Routinely handles paperwork, materials, collateral and other printing supplies and deliverables
- Occasionally needs to lift and/or transport up to 20 pounds of boxes, printed materials, or various items short distances, to and from the normal workstation
- Occasionally needs to stand or walk short distances to areas that are not immediately accessible from the workstation, such as moving to other offices or printers, etc.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision (at 20 inches or less), distance vision (at 20 feet or more), color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- The work environment is a typical climate-controlled office environment.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Will occasionally experience varying environments when traveling to store locations or visiting warehouse, which may include warm or cool temperatures and Florida weather conditions
- Office attendance required based on current ABC office guidelines. Some work-at-home days may be approved and may vary based on shifting COVID requirements.
