Responsibilities:

• Work on Meltano and come up with engineering strategies based on our target goals.
• Propose specification improvements in the open source community and engage with other proposals from the community.
• Design, build, and maintain highly reusable design patterns in the community-facing SDK for Singer Taps and Targets. Work cross functionally on projects.
• Review community contributions, providing thorough code reviews with a positive and constructive voice.

Requirements:

• 3+ years' experience as a software engineer, or similar experience in data engineering with strong programming and leadership experience.
• Proficiency in CI/CD technologies such as GitHub Actions, Gitlab CI, or similar.
• Expert-level knowledge of Python and Python testing practices.
• Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests.
• Knowledge of community open source projects.
• Proficiency using the command line.
• Ability to work with US time zones

Bonus Qualifications:

• Ability to develop and maintain infrastructure via Pulumi and other IAC tools.
• Experience with Meltano, the Singer spec, or similar data protocols.
• Solid understanding of challenges for Meltano's users: either in the field of data engineering, big data, ML and/or data warehousing.
• Remote working experience is a plus.

• US salary range $160,000 - $185,000
