BAE Systems has exciting opportunities on Vandenberg Space Force Base, California supporting operational test launches in our nation’s Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) program. The successful candidate will plan and execute tests that measure the current and future capability of the nation’s ICBM force. This mission establishes planning factors in operational conditions such as accuracy and reliability, weapon system components and subsystems for modification, and overall operational safety, suitability, and effectiveness. This position directly supports preflight planning, launch support and post launch analyses. Pay Information:
Salary Range: $73,370 to $124,740
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

This position requires a Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field with two years of relevant experience, and skills in the following areas:

  • ICBM guidance system instruments

  • ICBM test plans and procedures

  • Launch preparation and test data evaluation

  • Preflight mission planning

  • Special studies and analyses as required

  • Possess excellent verbal and written technical communication skills.




Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization.
