Position: Supervisory Telecommunications Specialist, GS 13

Working Hours: 8:15 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
Salary:
GS 13: $112,015.00 - $145,617.00
Full Performance level: GS 13
Number of Positions Available: 1
Duration: Full Time/Permanent

Key Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain an SCI clearance
- Selectee will be required to complete form FD-887, Request for Access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
Major Duties
- Oversees the operation of the Central Monitoring Plant
- Counsels and guides employees and resolves their complaints and grievances
- Directs procedural and technical practices relative to daily data collection operations
- Plans and organizes complex and sensitive functions relative to communications interception and intelligence collection systems
- Evaluates work performance of subordinate staff

Specialized Experience (SE):
GS 13: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 12 grade level. SE is:
- Prepared detailed reports, summaries, and recommendations to management regarding program operations
- Reviewed and implemented technical requests for communication interceptions to ensure compliance with statutory authorization and policy
- Maintained liaison with internal and external entities to understand and evaluate the communications intercepted, gathered, and processed
- Developed strategies to maintain control and accountability of program systems and equipment
- Coordinated operations and resources to support program priorities
- Provided guidance on technical practices relative to the operation and control of communication intercept systems
- Performed troubleshooting to resolve technical difficulties encountered with collection systems and telecommunication equipment
- In addition to the above, applicant must possess leadership experience

Education may not be substituted for Specialized Experience at this grade level.
