Salary:

GS 13: $112,015.00 - $145,617.00

Full Performance level: GS 13

Key Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain an SCI clearance
• Selectee will be required to complete form FD-887, Request for Access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

Major Duties

• Oversees the operation of the Central Monitoring Plant
• Counsels and guides employees and resolves their complaints and grievances
• Directs procedural and technical practices relative to daily data collection operations
• Plans and organizes complex and sensitive functions relative to communications interception and intelligence collection systems
• Evaluates work performance of subordinate staff

Specialized Experience (SE):

GS 13: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 12 grade level. SE is:

• Prepared detailed reports, summaries, and recommendations to management regarding program operations
• Reviewed and implemented technical requests for communication interceptions to ensure compliance with statutory authorization and policy
• Maintained liaison with internal and external entities to understand and evaluate the communications intercepted, gathered, and processed
• Developed strategies to maintain control and accountability of program systems and equipment
• Coordinated operations and resources to support program priorities
• Provided guidance on technical practices relative to the operation and control of communication intercept systems
• Performed troubleshooting to resolve technical difficulties encountered with collection systems and telecommunication equipment
• In addition to the above, applicant must possess leadership experience

Education may not be substituted for Specialized Experience at this grade level.
