IT Support Specialist

As a IT Support Specialist, you will resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced, client-critical environment, working on improving processes, standards and strategies to perfect our Support Services.
Your Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer technical problems across multiple environments. (Win7, Win10, iOS, MacOS, Android, and Linux.)
- Collaborate with peers, team leads, and Senior Support Engineers as appropriate to resolve client issues maintaining complete ownership of issues from beginning to resolution.
- Follow up with clients via phone and email to ensure accurate resolution for their technical issues.
- Work on highly complex technical issues requiring sound judgment in order to resolve problems and provide recommendations.
- Use troubleshooting techniques and tools to identify root cause of complex technical scenarios.
- Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices
- Check computer hardware to ensure functionality
- Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
- Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
- Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring clients from completing their work
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
Essential Requirements:
Every Techspert Services team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:
- Basic knowledge of server hardware including web servers and network configurations
- Possess some knowledge of web programming or scripting skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Creative and energetic
- 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience (4-year degree in related field and 0-2 years relevant experience)
- Experience with O365, Azure, G-Suite, VPN, Ticketing System.
- Competent Knowledge in one or more of the following technologies, Network Switching and Infrastructure, O365/G-Suite Administration, Active Directory.
- Fault Isolation and Troubleshooting Methodology
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a no-barriers attitude towards helping others
Desirable Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge in any of the technologies, TCP/IP Networking, Microsoft Server OS, Server and Cloud Infrastructure.
Industry Certifications: CompTIA A+, Security+, AZ-104, MS-500, AWS-CCP, ITIL
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- On call
- Weekend availability
