AOA Xinetics (AOX), a wholly owned Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Payload and Ground Systems Division Business Venture, is a leading supplier of complex electro-optic and photonic systems and subsystems that control and manipulate light waves for a variety of applications. We are seeking an Staff Logistics Engineer to join our Special Programs team in East Hartford, CT.

Role and Responsibility

  • Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements

  • Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints to meet marketing and financial objectives

  • Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions

  • Builds relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives. Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with at least 14 years of related experience; OR a Master's Degree with at least 12 years of related experience; may substitute 4 years additional experience in lieu of degree

  • PC proficiency with Microsoft Windows Office Products, Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Experience using Teamcenter, MES, or other Product Lifecycle System (PLM)

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation skills and ability to interface directly with Program Management and external customers

  • An active Top Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline

  • Five years of experience in LSA, reliability, maintainability or other logistics related discipline

  • Familiarity with other logistics tools such as Vmetric, EDCAS, COMPASS, CASA, etc.

  • Experience with CAD programs such as Solidworks

  • Previous experience using LSA data to develop either technical data, technical publications, Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETMs), or training products



Salary Range: $120,700 USD - $181,100 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
