Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The position focuses on Web Site Design, Coding and Content Management. The position develops and customizes Web pages using HTML, PHP, CSS and JavaScript. The position supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of the County’s Internet and Intranet sites utilizing Mesa County’s current Content Management System (CMS). The position involves ongoing site analysis of content, web utilization, ADA compliance and search engine optimization in order to continually update the system to meet community, and organizational needs.

Essential Duties
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Plan, develop, coordinate, and modify Web Sites (Web design, navigation, and graphics) for implementation to create a comprehensive internet/intranet system for County departments.
Install, administer, develop, and customize the use of the Drupal CMS including the usage of CMS templates, modules/add-ons and Web development languages including HTML, PHP, CSS and JavaScript.
Performs project administration duties potentially including; work scheduling, cost estimates, the delegation of tasks, coordination of work, and review of work.
Trains designated users on content editing and usage of the Drupal CMS.
Monitors and updates the Websites based on site analytics, ADA compliance and search engine optimization.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and four (4) or more years of related experience in Web Development and Design.
Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job.
Supplemental Information
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires standing, stooping, sitting, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Work is generally confined to a standard office environment. The employee may be exposed to possible bodily injury from electrical shock.
Some after-hours/modified work scheduling may be required to accomplish project goals.
