Hitachi Energy is seeking for a Mechanical Design Engineer Distribution Transformers for it's Raleigh, NC location. This role provides deep, experiential learning opportunities within different engineering elements like customized vs. standardized design aspect, design to value, product cost optimization and many more.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an Accredited University and minimum 2 years of work experience. Intern and Co-op experience will be considered as part of the 2 years of required work experience.
  • Candidate already having a work authorization would be preferred and may be supported by visa sponsorship for potential candidates.
  • Interest in the energy and/or manufacturing sectors.
  • Self-starter that seeks knowledge outside of the classroom.
  • Willing to travel for training period of few weeks/months in the manufacturing facilities, location assignment will vary based on interest of candidate’s product design – relocation assistance will be provided.
