Job Description
This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA’s family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.
This role will sit onsite, likely in a hybrid capacity, at the location(s) listed in this posting.
The anticipated term of this engagement will be 10 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.
CW-Information Systems Analyst IV
The Lead Systems Analyst oversees the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's operating systems. This job approves information systems designs and ensures they are appropriate for users' needs and are consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. This job manages large projects and is recognized as the Systems expert on the team that solves complex issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Approves of system scope through existing knowledge and fact-finding that informs the development or modification of complex information systems. groups, aiming to improve business results.
Oversees changes to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
Collaborate with various IT teams and business partners to research, design, develop, test, and deploy marketing review application and reporting metrics for the Compliance business area.
Approves flow charts, models, and procedures and feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
Approves technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
Evaluates all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.
Creates procedures to solve complex problems that considers items such as computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
Estimates the costs of system solutions and prepares project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
Coaches and delegates work to lower level professionals.

Job Description:
The monitoring and Observability Engineer Position is for Dynatrace development, Splunk Core/ITSI, and Moog Soft Administration. The ideal candidate will have Experience with maintaining Splunk, Dynatrace, and Moog soft and their underlying infrastructure. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are preferred. Provide input into the company’s monitoring strategy and roadmap, including evaluating enterprise software and Open-Source alternatives and identifying hardware, software, and technical resources requirements. As a Monitoring and Observability Engineer, you can implement best-in-class engineering strategies to support a large distributed clustered Dynatrace and Splunk environment consisting of Search Heads, Indexers, Forwarders, performance, engineering, and operational roles. Be the engineering voice in helping recognize and onboard new data sources into Dynatrace and Splunk along with other monitoring tools, analyze the data for anomalies and trends, and build observability dashboards highlighting the key trends of the data. Analyze solutions for profiling, monitoring, reporting, and testing on the platform. Monitor the responsiveness and availability of critical websites and web applications from the end-user perspective. Manage application availability and performance and proactively find performance bottlenecks. Enable integration of Splunk, Dynatrace, and other monitoring/event sources to Moog soft development of the single pane of glass dashboard for incident management across distributed applications.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
The candidate should be proactive and passionate about identifying, instrumenting, and promoting monitoring and observability across multi-tier applications at an enterprise level.
The position will act as a Dynatrace subject matter expert (SME) responsible for application performance monitoring and analysis.
The resource must have excellent knowledge of the architecture and capabilities of Dynatrace, Splunk, and Moog Soft.
The resource must have Sound knowledge of APM concepts and features like end-to-end observability, Root cause and impact analysis, Business KPIs and user journey analysis, Mobile and desktop application monitoring, etc.
Have a high-level understanding of the application stacks and utilize that to trace, profile, and optimize application performance within and across multiple technology stacks.
Should act as an advisor to the customer to evaluate the current usage of the Dynatrace platform and identify additional areas to improve the utilization of Dynatrace capabilities.
Build Highly Available and Scalable infrastructure with robust monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
Engineer solutions and establish standards for infrastructure, agent deployments, and automating manual tasks where possible
Integration with enterprise monitoring tools for data visualization needs
Guide application/operational teams to set up policies, alerts, dashboards, and custom configurations to get optimal visibility of applications
Make effective use of monitoring tools to improve root cause analysis effectiveness and correlation of events.

Technical Skills & Work Experience
5+ Years of Dynatrace Experience Required.
3+ Years of Splunk Experience Preferred
1+ Years Moog Soft Experience preferred
2+ Scripting Skills – Shell and Python
Dynatrace or Splunk certification is a plus
Familiarity with Cloud Architecture (Public and Private clouds) – AWS, OpenShift
Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on Experience with AWS alerting/monitoring tools
Willingness to learn new skills and new knowledge
Good understanding of alarm point notification tools such as xMatters and dashboards like Grafana
Tasks and Major Responsibilities include:
Work as admin on Dynatrace, i.e., Installation, configuration, upgrades, and migration.
Responsible for implementing Dynatrace monitoring on Cloud and non could use Data Platforms.
Work with the application and infrastructure teams in collecting requirements, configuring, and managing technical and business kpis on Dynatrace.
Responsible for maintaining and building on-prem infrastructure related to Dynatrace, like Active Gates.
Responsible for ensuring the Dynatrace agents were deployed and issues with the agents were addressed with the help of the technical teams as needed.
Responsible for maintaining the overall health and functionality of the Dynatrace/Splunk/Moog Soft AIOps Platform.
Create and define the onboarding process to Ingest monitoring events from different sources i.e, Splunk, Dynatrace, OEM, into MoogSot. Create roles & Policies, integrate with Service Now CMDB to enrich alerts, and create situations in Moog soft.
Develop and improve custom Splunk observability dashboards to meet evolving mission-critical requirements
Work with business application teams to perform requirements gathering sessions to develop the scope and design of new and existing Splunk observability dashboards and reports.
