Citrix & Digital Workspace Administrator in GAC Savannah


Unique Skills:

  • Ensure operational processes are followed Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop environments.
  • Actively supports the user community with on premise and future cloud initiatives related issues
  • Follows Process and Procedures set by Senior level team members
  • Assists with the translation of logical design to operational implementation.
  • Assist with continuous improvement related to monitoring, preventive maintenance and disaster recovery of

complex infrastructure services.

  • Serves as technical support within the Citrix environment.
  • Assists with solution design and related applicability pertaining to: scalability, performance and quality in

accordance with negotiated service level agreements.

  • Participates in the assessment and resolution of complex software and infrastructure incidents and problems.
  • Assists project management and other initiatives with the development of work breakdown structures, project plans and skills required to develop and implement enhancements.
  • Understanding and compliance of IT Security measures and current standards, practices and technology
  • Ensure operational processes are followed within Infrastructure Cloud Services portfolio.
  • Ensure the environment is maintained in accordance with company standards and leading practices.
  • Support incident resolution within the environment, facilitating collaboration among other infrastructure and

business service support teams as required.

  • Ensure root cause analysis is performed in accordance with Gulfstream policies and standards.

Additional Functions:

  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • At least one of the following industry certifications preferred: CCA and similar certifications preferred.
  • Hands on experience with Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, Workspace One, Storefront, PVS, FSLogix, VMware ESX, ESXi /vSphere, vCenter, vMotion, DRS, and additional virtualization technologies and concepts
  • Strong knowledge of GPO / Provisioning Services (Active Directory desirable)
  • Experience with Virtualized monitoring and maintenance
  • Proven Virtualization systems administration
  • Experience with thin client technologies and administrative management
  • In depth experience and knowledge of Citrix / VMware / AD Preferred

Good knowledge of network communications fundamentals


Education and Experience Requirements

Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or technology related field preferred. 4 years of experience with Citrix, and VMWare Virtualized Environments, and other related virtualization and cloud computing technologies support to include implementation experience within medium to large, cross-functional teams or projects. Citrix CCA or CCP-N may offset education requirement by 1 year, per each certification. Other CCNA and MCP certification preferred.

The Citrix / Cloud Services Admin II will support enterprise Cloud, Citrix/VDI and Netscaler environments

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  • Ensure operational processes are followed within Cloud and Citrix/VDI environments .

  • Creates complex software design at the component level based on the application architecture and the detailed business requirements .

  • Develops complex algorithms and data structures .

  • Assists with the translation of logical design to operational implementation .

  • Assist with continuous improvement related to monitoring, preventive maintenance and disaster recovery of complex infrastructure services .

  • Serves as technical expert in one or more infrastructure Cloud / Citrix service .

  • Assists with solution design and related applicability pertaining to: scalability, performance and quality in accordance with negotiated service level agreements .

  • Participates in the assessment and resolution of complex software and infrastructure defects .

  • Assists project management with the development of work breakdown structures, project plans and skills required. to develop and implement applications .

  • Understands IS Security measures and current standards, practices and technology .

  • Ensure operational processes are followed within Infrastructure Cloud Services portfolio .

  • Ensure the environment is maintained in accordance with company standards and leading practices .

  • Support incident resolution within the environment, facilitating collaboration among other infrastructure and business service support teams as required.

  • Ensure root cause analysis is performed in accordance with Gulfstream policies and standards .

  • Constantly drive for process improvement .

Perform other duties as assigned.
