As a maintenance technician, you will perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on complex automated systems in the Witron environment.
The electrician will be working with a team of multi-skilled maintenance team in a mid to large volume automation facility. In this position, you will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex automated and electrical systems utilizing skillsets related to PLCs, high voltage power systems and low voltage communication systems.
Required Qualifications
Performs electrical wiring duties within the warehouse facilities, as well as the production/Rx machinery.
Installs new electrical components and repairs and maintains existing industrial electrical and electronic components.
Works according to company policy, the National Electric Code, and federal, state, and local building codes.
Uses repair manuals, factory specifications, blueprints, schematics, and previous knowledge of electrical and electronic components to perform job duties.
Uses a wide range of tools and instruments, including conduit benders, wire tracers, voltage indicators, and cable cutters.
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Must be able to communicate in English.
Must have at least 3 years of experience in maintenance electrical field.
Preferred experienced in industrial and electrical environment including warehouse.
Ability to exercise sound judgement and work independently with minimal supervision.
Journeyman state license or Master Electrician.
Extensive knowledge of AC and DC circuits and related components.
Proven knowledge of the National Electric Code.
PLC knowledge and experience is a plus.
Read, comprehend, and interpret electrical schematics, ladder and wiring diagrams of motors and motor controls, energy managements systems, fire protections system circuits, lighting, lighting controls and blueprints.
Must be willing to learn and use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
Able to work at 25 ft heights, operating a scissor lift and/or articulate boom lift.
Have a valid driver’s license.
Must be willing to get certified on all equipment needed to complete job task.
Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule or overtime as required. to include shift rotation.
Ability to work safely in and around operating mechanical systems.
Ability to be trained to use EGS System.
Must be able to be trained to use Witron PC workstations and Lock-out Tag-out procedures as an “Authorized” user and Arc Flash Procedures.
Ability to walk, stand, pull, climb for an extended period.
Must be able to lift frequently 20-45 lbs., occasionally 45-75 lbs.
Proven ability to be a team player who is comfortable working in a team-based environment.
Ability to work with different levels of colleagues with focus on customer service.
Ability to act competently in emergencies.
Knowledge of WMS and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
4 to 6 years Experience maintaining material handling systems in a distribution center environment
Education
High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
Associates of Science-Technical Degree preferred but not required

As a maintenance technician, you will perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on complex automated systems in the Witron environment.
The electrician will be working with a team of multi-skilled maintenance team in a mid to large volume automation facility. In this position, you will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex automated and electrical systems utilizing skillsets related to PLCs, high voltage power systems and low voltage communication systems.
- Regular (daily/ weekly / monthly) system inspections and checks
- Minor error and fault corrections in the electrical-automated system
- Clearing of jams and corrections to conveyable boxes/totes.
- Software monitoring and utilizing HMI’s
- Unplanned electrical, maintenance and repairs.
- Electrical, PLC fault finding, network faults and diagnosis and resolution.
- Exchange and set up of electrical wear and tear parts.
- Execute Preventive Maintenance programs to control panels and motor control centers.
- Repair and maintain machinery and assist equipment such as conveyors, motors, pneumatics and hydraulics, and production machines.
- Performs electrical and network/data wiring duties within the warehouse facilities, including production/Rx machinery.
- Installs new electrical components, repairs, and maintains existing industrial electrical and electronic components (such as photo eyes, phase monitors, proximity sensors, VFD’s, servo, emergency lights, generators, outside light timers, transformers, power supplies, etc.)
- Works according to company policy, the National Electric Code, and federal, state, and local building codes.
- Uses repair manuals, factory specifications, blueprints, schematics, and previous knowledge of electrical and electronic components to perform job duties.
- Uses a wide range of tools and instruments, including conduit benders, wire strippers, wire tracers, cable cutters, network cable tester, megger, and multimeter.
- Perform various repairs upon general instructions from by the department lead/supervisor and or manager.
- Ensure personal and facility compliance with company requirements as it relates to PSE, Hazmat, HIPAA, etc.
- Perform other duties as requested by the department lead/supervisor and or manager.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships across all levels in the organization.
- Perform general housekeeping within designated areas of facility.
- Adhere to established federal/state/company safety procedures to include confine spaces and working in & around energized equipment.
