Job Summary

• The Core System Developer provides programming and software development services to the IT/Systems and IT/Technology group in support of its internal and external customers by maintaining and enhancing our internally-built claims, enrollment and benefit system, and other critical subsystems.
• The Core System Developer is responsible for maintenance and support of interfaces with vendor-supplied applications, as required.
• The individual will write in Pick/Unibasic and utilize CVS version control. There eventually may be a requirement to be on an off-hours call rotation.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in leading projects where teamwork and project management skills are required.
• Experience in all facets of software development.
• Pick Basic/Unibasic or other multi-valued DBMS experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with NetTerm/Accuterm and editors such as Red or Zeus is desirable.

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, occasional call; 80 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $31.57- $48.00 per hour
