SUMMARY

Build, deploy, and maintain internal and partner sites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

• Writes semantic, accessible, testable, efficient code using best practices.
• Builds basic website layouts and user interfaces with HTML and CSS.
• Interfaces with WordPress, PHP, MySQL, and .NET, as needed.
• Integrates data from various back-end web services and databases.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
• Creates and maintains software documentation.
• Ensures cross-browser compatibility of new features.
• Maintains, expands, and scales all sites.
• Stays abreast of emerging technologies, platforms, applications, and industry trends to ensure up-to-date digital experiences; applies knowledge to operations and activities and leverages available resources, as needed.
• Collaborates on all elements of web development.
• Assists in website architecture and content management for all sites.
• Supports all phases of web development from evaluation, analysis, and design to development and subsequently ongoing maintenance and support.
• Provides accurate builds based off AdobeXD mock-up designs.
• Creates functional HTML prototypes/staging sites based on design mock-ups; translates mock-ups into clean code, adhering to coding, template standards and style guidelines.
• Ensures new sites and/or pages meet standards for accessibility, device, and browser compatibility.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATON AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in related field and 3 to 5 years of web development experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with back-end frameworks such as WPEngine, Flywheel, Squarespace, Spacecraft, Amazon Web Services, and Azure Web required. UI/UX design experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Working knowledge of web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Working knowledge of content management systems (CMSs) WordPress, Spacecraft and Sitecore.
• Working knowledge of graphic design and typography.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting. Work requires lifting objects up to 10lbs.
