The Role:

We are seeking a IT ETRM Support to be based in New York, NY. We are entrepreneurial, fast- moving, and motivated by a desire to change the way that energy and electricity are delivered around the world. We are looking for a motivated, highly experienced individual with shared beliefs and passion to come and help drive the journey.

The IT ETRM Support will play a key role in supporting the Commercial Trading business users and be expected to interface with various groups within the Business including being an integral part of IT implementations. The ETRM Support will be responsible for supporting the Entrade ETRM platform at the business unit and individual staff level by rolling out new functionality, assisting commercial functions in booking deals and assets, modeling risk exposures in the ETRM system. Candidates must possess knowledge of Physical Commodities: LNG, Natural Gas, Power Oil, Fuels, NGLs, Natural Gas, LNG, Power, Freight, and other bulk commodities.

The ETRM Support will also be responsible for providing Level 2 Information Technology (IT) support for the Commercial Trading business unit (Front-to-Back Office). This includes incident and problem management process.

This position will report to the VP Enterprise Systems and the role will be based in New York, New York.


What You Will Do:

  • Provide incident and problem management support for the Commercial Supply & Trading organizations (across Front Office, Scheduling, Middle Office, Back Office).
  • Establish strong relationships with Commercial teams in Houston, New York, and regional offices.
  • Identify issues and opportunities to proactively help deliver value added solutions to the business by ensuring that complex requirements are executable, testable, complete and not ambiguous.
  • Analyze requirements and data from various groups and transform into improved solutions
  • Act as a technical leader by utilizing expert knowledge and understanding of Trading applications and technologies to provide solutions to the Business

What You Bring:

  • Demonstratable knowledge of Trading, Scheduling, Settlements, MTM, Exposure and PNL reporting.
  • Knowledge of Trading related and processes, especially Physical and Financial LNG Trading; or/and Natural Gas, Power.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or other Quantitative field and 3+ years of proven experience in a physical and financial gas/LNG trading environment.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and data management skills.
  • Reporting/analytics capability including proficiency in Excel/VBA & experience in reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Experience working with diverse teams across global locations.
  • Have experience in development and scripting (e.g. Python)
  • Have hands on experience with visualization tools
  • Knowledge of Deal Lifecycle, ETRM systems including but not limited to Enuit Entrade, Openlink Endur, RightAngle, Allegro etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of a variety of development techniques and standards, including but not limited to: ITIL processes, Project Management, and Agile Project Management/Development methods
  • Have successfully worked on a broad range of functional systems in one or more of the following areas: SQL Databases, Data Warehouses, client/server development in C#, .NET, HTML, Javascript, Python, Kafka, Power BI, Azure
  • Ability to multi-task independently in a dynamic and changing business environment under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage workload under time pressure and changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Attention to detail and ability to work within a very deadline orientated environment.
