Senior Web Designer


Location:
Remote anywhere in the USA.


Position Summary:


Are you passionate about modern web development? We are hiring for a Senior Web Designer who understands how to use data to inform design and functionality decisions to create exceptional user experiences for the web and drive desired business outcomes. We are seeking someone who is self-starting, creative, and analytical with the ability to quickly turn ideas into results while collaborating closely with team members and internal stakeholders.


Responsibilities:


  • Meet with content owners and stakeholders to define project requirements and create a plan that demonstrates a solid understanding of goals and objectives.
  • Design, create, and maintain web content to meet company and stakeholder requirements while adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Coordination and implementation of website technical updates: theme and plugins.
  • Create and test applications to ensure that they are working effectively.
  • Management of staging site for updates, publishing updates to live website and live site backups.
  • Craft solutions for layout and styling issues across multiple browsers and mobile devices.
  • Work with IT partners to ensure backend processes to and from the website transition smoothly.
  • Research industry trends and best practices in design and user experience and bring innovative ideas for website enhancements.
  • Maintain assets, such as images, files, and videos in the current Asset Management System.
  • Ensure seamless localization of website content in partnership with localization team(s).
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to members of the Web Team and internal stakeholders, including UX best practices.


What You Bring to The Team:


  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in corporate website design, development, and management.
  • Experience working for a global organization preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of current web design and development best practices for desktop and mobile.
  • Expert knowledge of front-end web design/development, HTML, CSS, PHP, and WordPress CMS.
  • Working knowledge of Magento (Adobe Commerce) or similar e-commerce platforms preferred.
  • Knowledge of Website SEO and Google Search Console (Semrush or MozPro preferred)
  • Working Knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4 preferred).
  • Experience with web page versioning and source control.
  • Design techniques to meet ADA compliance standards (A & AA).
  • Design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Other tools such as WebDam, Userlytics, BrowserStack, and Adobe XD.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team in a remote setting.
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer. The role requires communication with managers, peers and other colleagues of the company in person, and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
  • This role does not require travel.
