Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Software Engineer for its Johnston, RI location.



Duties: Design, modify, develop and implement technology solutions; building modern, architecturally sound components, tools, and applications to meet mission-driven strategic business goals. Participate in an environment rapidly transforming to the Agile methodology, adhering to best practices and collaborating effectively with teammates. Infuse quality of service characteristics, such as scalability, manageability and maintainability, into distributed service-based framework to create or expand business or technical capabilities. Document development iterations; ensuring the quality of technical documentation; creating progress reports. Participate in code and design reviews with network, infrastructure and solutions engineering teams to ensure that solutions meet current enterprise standards.



Requirements: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and two years of experience in the offered role or in a related position. Full Term of Experience must include: Software development, with a proven record of successfully launching commercial products; Collecting requirements, creating software designs and developing efficient implementations using Agile Software Development Life Cycle; Utilization of multiple programming languages and full stack development, including at least one front end framework (Angular/React/Vue), and programming lanagues such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Golang, C, C++, etc.; Utilizing Cloud technologies, specifically AWS, AZURE or GCP; Developing and integrating APIs using REST; Working with databases MySQL, Oracle, and/or NoSQL; Working with loading, extracting data using SQL, DDL, and/or DML commands; Designing, developing, governing, and maintaining the platform level data model; Utilizing source control tools Bitbucket, Github and/or Gitlab; Utilizing logging frameworks for application logging, including log4j, and analysis using Splunk, Data Dog, Prometheus, Kibana, and/or Grafana; Big data experience with technologies like Hadoop and Spark; Handling structured, un-structured, semi-structured data, working on an enterprise level services; Data engineering with an emphasis on data analytics and reporting; Conducting code reviews; Experience with big data, machine learning, and numerical programming frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow); and Through understanding of data structures such as linked lists, hashmaps, and graphs as demonstrated through architecting and developing software.
