Summary

Regal Boats is looking for an experienced Electrician to undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and installing electrical infrastructure. Your job will involve installing and testing electrical wiring. This person must be able to work in confined spaces.

Electricians must be first and foremost responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions. The ideal candidate must also be experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Install conduit to bulkheads, for example, connection boxes, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, and switch panels.
  • Ensures appropriate connections from power-supply circuits to the radio, radar, sonar, fire control, and other electronic equipment.
  • Tests electrical characteristics, for example, voltage, resistance, and, in circuits, using voltmeters, and ohmmeters.
  • Troubleshoots electrical equipment and circuits using appropriate test equipment.
  • Collaborate with leadership and engineering to help improve products.
  • Manage and complete job duties according to the production schedule.
  • Follow the company’s safety and quality guidelines
  • Keep the worksite clean to avoid hazards.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in electrical (including tools of the trade), specifically in the marine or RV industry.
  • Must have a working knowledge of 12v systems.
  • Must be able to install conduits and outlets.
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions.
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature.
  • Must be able to work a 10-hour shift standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Must be able to climb in and out of boats.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces
  • Have the flexibility to work overtime both planned and unplanned to meet company goals.
  • Must follow all safety standards and procedures
  • Must demonstrate a record of dependability and reliability with prior work experience
  • Experience working with 110v or 220v preferred.
  • Experience working with Yamaha and Volvo systems preferred.
  • Ability to interpret manufacturing schedules a plus

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions
  • The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to, with or without correct close vision, ability to adjust focus, and be able to distinguish between different colors.
