Summary

Regal Boats is looking for an energetic and focused Systems Engineer to work at our World Headquarters in Orlando, FL. This position is responsible for developing all aspects of propulsion & systems during development including concept, prototype, product introduction, and market adoption of new models. This role will be involved in all aspects of these areas for the entire Regal product line from 20’-42’.

Annual Compensation Range

$65,000-$85,000

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Tactical owner of systems designs for Regal Boats.

  • Systems Include HVAC, Stereo Systems, Navigation Systems, Plumbing Systems, Generators, Water, & Waste Systems.

  • Ensure that component selection for all products is reliable and thoroughly tested.

  • Validates all new models for performance and reliability.

  • Follows product development work standards.

  • Develops plans to ensure manufacturing is trained on all systems

  • Ensures that vendors are conducting training and performing COIs as needed.

  • Represents Regal in a professional, ethical, and socially responsible manner.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 years of knowledge of the boating industry, including familiarity with major brands and features.

  • Strong technical knowledge of systems and propulsion.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to find the root cause.

  • Strong project management skills, including a demonstrated track record of successful projects and implementation.

  • Must be a team player and work closely with other Regal team members.

  • Strong relationship builder and a strong personal desire to win.

  • Highly motivated self-starter and deadline driven.

  • Ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally.

  • Team player mentality, but able to work independently as required.

  • Strong interpersonal, listening, questioning, and communication skills (written and oral).

  • Energetic, proactive and focused.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

  • CAD software experience, including Rhino, Solidworks, Siemens NX, Catia, Pro-E

  • Proficient in Google G-Suite or Microsoft Office software suite.

  • Professional memberships in industry organizations such as ABYC.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

  • Required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions

  • The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to, with or without correct close vision, ability to adjust focus, and be able to distinguish between different colors.
