This position is for a Cyber Security Engineer on the Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS). The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic Cyber engineering team that Designs, develops, documents, tests, and maintains full spectrum cyber solutions. This position is specifically for an individual interested in performing Authorization and Accreditation activities using Risk Management Framework for multiple enclaves within our ground system architecture.

In this role, you will join a Cyber sustainment team to:
  • Work with cross functional engineering teams to evaluate and analyze system architecture and security design
  • Support SBIRS modifications as they relate to the design and accreditation of new mission capabilities
  • Support working group meetings with internal/external stakeholders, as well as weekly briefs with senior leadership
  • Analyze and assess risks and vulnerabilities to determine appropriate remediations and mitigations
  • Test and integrate security patches and updates into the SBIRS systems
Basic Qualifications:
1. DOD 8570 Experience.
2. Experience with Authorization and Accreditation processes using Risk Management Framework methodologies
3. Experience with DoD cybersecurity requirements, policies, and procedures

1. Experience performing cybersecurity accreditation activities in support of software and system requirements, design, development, testing, and sustainment of approvals - Authority To Operate
2. Experience with NetBrain, Zenoss and Hewlett Packard Network Automation (HPNA)
3. Familiar with eMASS, HBSS, ACAS, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), DISA STIGs
4. Experience with Secure Configuration/Hardening of DoD Information Systems
5. Experience with Intel Driven Threat Modeling, preferably classified Cyber Threat Intel Support
6. Experience briefing complex cyber security principles to all levels of knowledge and skill
7. Experience briefing high level customer stakeholders with cyber security concerns and remediation tactics
8. Knowledge of NIST 800-53
9. Experience with RHEL and Windows Server/Professional
10. Experience with SIEM and cloud technologies including LogRhythm, Splunk, Jira, and Confluence
11. DoD 8570 IAT II Certification
12. Ability to provide guidance on DoD Cyber regulations and requirements to engineering and software development staff
13. Experience with responding to cyber incidents from detection through remediation.
14. Intuitive and proactive self-starter that’s accountable and mission focused
