What you are good at
Client Service & Support (CS&S) is the primary service and trading arm for Schwab Investor Services. CS&S provides service to our retail clients to fulfill our purpose of championing every client’s goals with passion and integrity. The vision for CS&S is being engaged financial service professionals who inspire client loyalty by providing guidance and solutions to fulfill clients' needs. With a focus on employee development and collaboration, we help clients and employees reach their goals. CS&S builds loyalty with clients and employees one interaction at a time.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable front-end and back-end code
- Critically review processes to increase efficiency and automate workflows
- Draft new user story requirements while participating in all stages of the Agile iterative process
- Lead specialized functions such as intranet site construction, building support tools and monitoring systems in an effort to forecast possible client issues
- Proactively recognize strategic business opportunities and be willing to challenge traditional process with manager, colleagues, and business partners
- Work collaboratively with other peers across the network organization and successfully engage in cross-departmental projects and initiatives
What you have
2+ years of relevant work experience; financial service experience highly preferred- Bachelor’s degree from 4-year accredited college or university is preferred, or equivalent experience
- 2 years full stack web development :
- Front End Technologies/Concepts: HTML5, CSS/SCSS, React JavaScript
- Back End Technologies/Concepts: C#, .NET Core, RESTful API design
- Database Technologies/Concepts: Relational (SQL/Big Query)
- DevOps Technologies: Bitbucket, Bamboo, Veracode
- Experience with virtual server management; IaaS
- Experience with Agile methodology, including use of the Atlassian product suite
- Knowledge of brokerage/financial services industry, market mechanics, software design desirable
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong work ethic with the highest level of integrity
- Demonstrated passion for providing solutions that successfully decrease risk, effort, attrition, and costs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence and build consensus
