Our Team:

Medidata is looking for individuals who will help us tackle some of the most complex questions facing the industry today using our proprietary platform and advanced analytics. At Medidata, we never work alone. This role will partner heavily with all of the key stakeholder functions including product, delivery, data science, engineering, partnerships, and biostatistics. Successful Medidata AI candidates will be skilled in analytical/quantitative thinking, structured communication, and excited about building the next horizon of Medidata’s mission to power smarter treatments and healthier people.

Who We're Looking For:

You are a developer with 4-6+ years experience building automation for deployment and management of cloud-based web applications or services. You’ll demonstrate a passion for your craft, be self-motivated and eager to engage in high impact, challenging engineering problems while continuously raising the standard of quality in our products and services in a full solutions-oriented SaaS environment.

Your responsibilities will include hands-on implementation and development with continuous integration, continuous deployment, infrastructure as code, and advanced monitoring tools running on Amazon Web Services. The services you build will enable seamless deployment and management of cloud-base systems that make up Medidata’s newest generation of solutions. You will be comfortable working with Product Managers to turn great ideas into detailed requirements. You will also design how features should be implemented and help determine the best architecture to use in each situation.

  • Strong DevOps skills including Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Test Automation, and Infrastructure as Code - on the AWS platform

  • Understanding of source control management (Git/GitHub)

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment

  • A passion to stay current with new technologies and engineering concepts

  • Hands-on cloud expertise (preferably AWS) with strong understanding of SaaS model

Requirements (Education & Experience):

  • 4-6+ years experience automating build, deployment, and test automation for web based applications and services

  • Be responsible for building CI/CD pipelines including installation for all components in an end to end life sciences solution which is comprised of multiple software products

  • Design, development, and operation of all automation requirements to support the develop/test/deploy process

  • Contribute to the team’s roadmap and project planning process, partnering with stakeholders to develop business objectives and translate those into action

  • Work with other Agile team members to build in test automation from the ground up for every part of the system

  • Work with system architects to develop data flows and align to application integration standards

  • Ensure efficiency, quality, resiliency of the integrations

  • Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle

  • Continuous integration and Continuous deployment with tools such as GoCD, Travis, GitHub Actions, AWS CodeDeploy, Terraform and CloudFormation

  • Production operations in support of web-based applications in a service oriented architecture

  • B.S. or M.S. Computer Science, Engineering, related field or relevant experience

Bonus Points:

  • Developing services supporting mobile applications

  • Clinical research knowledge or worked in a regulated environment

  • AWS certification(s)

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $96,000 to $124,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission under the terms of applicable plan documents, while many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
