The Product Development team is a part of the Farming Solutions & Digital group that designs and builds customer-facing digital solutions that maximize value for farmers and advisors. Our work helps fuel and expose Corteva's scientific innovation.

The Staff Cloud Engineer owns our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD patterns and tooling, and SRE practices. Your responsibilities on the CE team will be to help accelerate the rest of our engineering organization; by providing domain expertise, designing opinionated CI/CD patterns, and helping drive the adoption of our patterns across the business. Candidates should be familiar with AWS cloud architecture, Terraform, Gitlab CI/CD patterns, serverless architecture, Kubernetes, Docker and Docker Compose, and Python.

• Designing CI/CD patterns that meet our 90% use cases.
• Providing knowledge & training in AWS architecture patterns.
• Writing and Supporting Terraform for managing Infrastructure as Code.s
• Providing support to engineering colleagues
• Participating in an on-call rotation for team-owned services

Qualifications

What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?

• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
• 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role writing clean and maintainable code
• Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems internals and administration
• 3+ years of experience with using Infrastructure as Code to manage AWS or other cloud providers
• Experience with Docker & Kubernetes is preferred

Preferences:

• Expertise in Python
• Expertise in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting microservices is preferred

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $118,000 - $148,000 yearly. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
