Job Description
Our Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control Business Area in Orlando, Florida is seeking candidates for a role focused on High Performance Computing (HPC) and using supercomputing technologies to build the next generation of modeling & simulation capabilities. You will support dozens of clusters across thousands of servers (compute nodes) and tens of thousands of CPU cores.

To be considered for this role you must have an active Secret security clearance that has been investigated within the last 5 years.

This position has high customer engagement and will work with engineers, developers, and scientists across multiple departments to enable their applications for HPC. This involves working closely with both cluster users and IT Systems Engineers to design and build scalable HPC architecture, tool sets, and supporting infrastructure to meet engineering requirements.

Programming and scripting are a large component of this position, and you will be given the opportunity to grow their skills across multiple languages. You will benchmark and optimize hardware, fabric, software, storage, and other tunable components to maximize the performance and efficiency of applications on the HPC systems. This will include extensive low-level troubleshooting and manipulation of code and tools to identify solutions across a diverse set of problem areas.

In addition to work with cluster users and IT engineers, you will work with senior program management to ensure that HPC capabilities align with overall business strategy and demands by providing metrics and forecasting. The candidate will not only educate the engineering community on the capabilities that HPC can provide, but also train users one-on-one to develop code and scripts for HPC execution.

Candidates may be involved in special projects such as multi-level security (MLS) for HPC, big data analytics, DevSecOps CI/CD integration, Machine Learning (ML), and Hybrid Cloud.

You should be passionate in learning and growing the skills needed. Candidates may come from a diverse background in science and/or engineering such as computer, chemical, biology, electrical, mechanical, mathematics, aeronautical, or other disciplines.

Relocation assistance is possible for this position.
