Regal Boats is seeking out a Documentation Tech to join our award-winning nationally recognized organization. The Documentation Tech will collaborate with the engineering team to support documentation control for all products & processes. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Create lamination, systems, upholstery, graphics and any other pertinent drawings required to manufacture each new model.

• Manipulate 3D models in Rhino 6 to extract discipline-specific data and produce final documentation for each assembly category.

• Interface with prototype group to obtain appropriate “as-built” capture of construction details, dimensions and critical information needed for manufacturing.

• Produce final “build book” required for manufacturing after periodic reviews and red line edits.

• Maintain an organized documentation system.

Qualifications

• Must be able to learn 3D software quickly or have previous experience using a 3D CAD package- must demonstrate abilities via personal examples or CAD files we can review.

• Must be able to climb inside, on top of and around boats in prototype and production.

• Should have good communication skills and be able to seek out key workers in proto and production on their own initiative.

• Should have very good listening skills.

• Education: minimum of AA degree in a technical field preferred (BS in Engineering is ideal).

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

• Climb ladders/ scaffolding

• Balance him/herself inside of hulls, decks or small parts with sloped/irregular surfaces.

• Handle loud noises and some dust/fumes (particle mask required).

• Walk approximately 1 mile or more/day without any problem.
