Primary purpose of the position:


Develops and maintains Global equipment maintenance standards and Global Equipment standards. Advises technical decisions on mechanical can process equipment.


Essential Responsible Areas:

  • Align global process teams for a common approach to process standardization, new equipment purchases and upgrades as defined by Global Equipment Standards, and development of standard practice around equipment refurbishment.
  • Technical liaison to equipment trials globally, specific to metrics of those trials.
  • Uses lean and 6 sigma techniques to identify and drive cost savings and improvements in business processes.
  • Able to find and use data to identify process improvements driving to an overall increase in network efficiency and reduction in spoilage.
  • Develop and maintain globally aligned templates and documents for process audits and equipment refurbishment.
  • Able to work and support management of global engineering systems. Especially Teamcenter and other global systems.
  • Maintains an awareness of technical progress in materials, support areas, and production equipment. Initiates technical meetings to review problems and seek improvements to document, align and deploy globally.
  • Liaison and technical support to other disciplines: manufacturing, project, process, and product engineering, sales & marketing, quality, EH&S, and sourcing.
  • Provides operational standards for excellence and engineering support for production plants.
  • Drives operational excellence thru a standardized and systematic approach using data driven metrics to identify, quantify, actively measure and statistically trend all systems driving value creation.
  • Defines, categorizes, and benchmarks world class engineering benchmarks of performance for can making process.


What we are looking for:


  • Highly skilled in the use of a computer and the standard suite of Office tools.
  • Must be prepared to work towards and then maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills.
  • Handles sensitive and proprietary information in a confidential manner.
  • Ability to work independently within parameters set by management. Assignments may be self-initiated. Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills. Contributes to group discussions.
  • Practices attentive and active listening; has the patience to hear people out; can accurately restate the opinions of others even when he/she disagrees.
  • Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the division, the group, and the company. Includes ability to handle stress and to interact with others so as to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hiring Salary Range: $ 70,800-106,030 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
  • This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
