Job Description
TITLE: Senior Engineer
DUTIES: FEV North America, Inc. seeks a Senior Engineer based out of our office at 4554 Glenmeade Lane, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Note, this position does not require travel.
Conduct engine testing or simulation tasks as applicable for assigned program; Mentoring and guidance of simulation team; Provide technical guidance to the entire project team; Interaction with Customer - Status reports and presentation; and Support internal program idea generation and execution.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and three years of experience in the job offered or related. Experience must include: Experience with the development of diesel and alternate fueled compression ignition engines, spark-ignited engines as well as the development of diesel and gasoline engine aftertreatment systems; experience with development activities applied to these areas include system level modeling, vehicle modeling, engine and aftertreatment modeling; experience with simulation capabilities and tool knowledge which must include GT-SUITE (including GT-POWER, GT-SUITE-RT, GT-POWER-xRT, GT-RealDrive) and Matlab/Simulink experience; experience with aftertreatment simulation and must include DOC, DPF, TWC, SCR, fuel burner and EHC components and application to 1D modeling tools (GT-POWER); experience with concept development for future powertrain applications, which must include experience with state-of-the-art engine and aftertreatment performance as well as concept potential and future emission legislation for world-wide markets; experience with advanced powertrain concepts including FCEV; and experience with high efficiency engine concepts including advanced boosting, turbocompounding and waste heat recovery (rankine systems).
