Job Description
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $140k to $155k per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, in addition to a full range of generous medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. See’s Candy Shops has unique, interesting and differentiating requirements that are not satisfied by any off-the-shelf platform. We architect using PWA (Progressive Web Application) over a headless, API driven backend in a rapid development environment.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
This high impact, high visibility position is responsible for development, administration, availability, security and ongoing maintenance of See’s E-commerce Applications. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops enhancements and new application functions to achieve business goals, based on roadmap objectives, high level descriptions and collaboration with E-commerce team members and other cross-functional partners.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive understanding of the business processes that drive E-Commerce order management and customer service application development.
- Provides application support including technical problem resolution, bug fixes and after-hours support.
- Ensures E-Commerce application is highly available through configuration and tuning, load testing and seasonal real-time monitoring.
- Understands and adheres to See’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process as described in See’s Information Security Policies and Procedures manual.
- Debugs and unit tests all work prior to peer code review and user acceptance testing.
- Maintains current knowledge and understanding of common security vulnerabilities; develops applications based on secure coding techniques ensuring secure operation.
- Performs special projects as assigned by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Over 5+ years of experience designing and hand-on implementation of user experiences of applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
- Over 5+ years of experience developing server side application logic. ColdFusion experience preferred.
- Experience in building client applications consuming JSON based on APIs
- Experience with relational databases, and a level of comfort with reading and writing simple to complex SQL queries
- Experience troubleshoot and debugging application code
- Experience with high availability, high-scale, performance systems
- REST based Micro-service development skills
- Experience with E-Commerce order management preferred
- Proven capabilities in multi-tasking, strong decision making, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Highly organized, deadline-driven individual with a “can do” attitude
- Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change efficiently, proactively and in a positive manner
- A passion for creating high quality software and user experiences
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in Git source control, Jira
