What to expect:
- The position provides technical and engineering solutions critical to ADAS Engineering.
- Act as a key liaison between German customers and their US branches, steering concept and vehicle design, developing technical solutions specific of autonomous vehicles, using customer specific tools within Bertrandt’s customers’ standard designs and processes.
- responsible for the vehicle commissioning with regard to the customer function on the PPE/PPC development vehicles , including vehicle configuration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems implementation, troubleshooting and testing supporting the ADAS project in San Jose, CA.
- Monitor field performance of test vehicles, including the management of customer feedback and technical problem solving of test vehicles in whole vehicle.
- Define commissioning and testing procedures of ADAS and electrical systems and automotive user interface concepts and technologies.
- Vehicle preparation and systems integration, operational control, change management, and the maintenance of the entire test vehicle fleet.
- Responsible for a seamless know how transfer between Bertrandt’s engineering team in Germany and the local teams in California
What you bring along:
- B.S. degree in Engineering, Mechatronics or Automotive technology, Master desired
- Several years of ADAS development know-how
- English mandatory, German or Spanish language skills desired
- Experience with OEM automotive technology and systems
- Development and Change Management know-how
- Desired IT skills:

The essential position of ADAS Development Engineer is required to support the state-of-the-art production for upcoming model launches in the North American market. The support includes project specification, project development, vehicle commissioning, calibration, application, testing and validation – Advanced Driver Assistance Systems e.g (ACA, aLDW) and associated base functions (e.g AMP, road graph).
The position offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $170,000 USD
