Over a million students use Chegg's learning services daily to further their learning. We build software to help these students study effectively, compile research, compile research, and write excellent papers, among many others. As part of this role, you will help implement the future of Growth Engineering and drive several initiatives across our different surfaces centered around making our students feel known and understood. You will own technologies that help get students ahead in their learning journey. We are empowered by a great team culture that encourages innovation and expects developers and management alike to take a high level of ownership in product vision, technical architecture, and project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative solutions to solve business needs
- Building UI components and web server code for security, efficiency, and performance
- Architect complex, highly available, scalable, resilient systems.
- Work with a team of like-minded engineers to meet team goals.
- Keep technical debt low by reinforcing our Engineering culture of establishing sound practices for ensuring code reviews, high test coverage, and documentation
Requirements:
- Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud services
- Sound understanding of data structures/ algorithms
- Experience with building applications in CI/CD environment
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools Git, Bitbucket etc.
- Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Experience with React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
The pay range for this position is $81,400 to $138,600. The actual pay will vary based on geographic location, job requirements, professional experience, and other factors.
