What you will be able to do:

  • Work directly with Software Planning & Implementation Engineers, Project Control engineers, Powertrain calibration teams and feature software engineers to manage the software delivery plan, software integration and validation.
  • Where necessary, work directly with gasoline hardware and software suppliers (Bosch/Vitesco)
  • Create and maintain a software delivery plan for assigned applications, in line with Ford GPDS milestones.
  • Create list of feature requirements, assess for gaps, and correct the scheduled versions where necessary.
  • Produce application plan and validation plan for each software drop.
  • Schedule feature updates and report status.
  • Work with validation team to meet validation plan.
  • Where necessary review validation data and compare with DV Plan.
  • Discuss DV issues with the feature teams and technical experts.
  • Notify of software bugs & schedule fixes. Review status with feature owners.
  • Cascade programs requirements to feature software engineers to implement feature upgrades.
  • Manage software Change Control Board change requests for assigned powerpacks.
  • Lead software CPMT Meetings.
  • Update Ford software planning tools (GTPS, Blueprint, Jira Cloud).
  • Provide software health status on a weekly basis.
  • Single point of contact for PT software program, responsible to manage change control requests and overall software health for a program including formal assessments at key milestones

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science
  • 5+ years of experience in program management
  • 5+ years of experience with the planning and release of automotive software


Our preferred requirements:

  • Must have excellent communication skills and a desire to work in an environment where they can have a direct impact on the customer.
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to review technical information and data
  • Ability to communicate at all levels and especially with remote teams (eg. US, FSAO)
  • Powertrain Controls knowledge desirable
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, taking direction from multiple sources as needed.
