Nature & Scope:
- Prepares and implements schedules, estimates and coordinates facilities projects relating to the installation, relocation, and modification of plant utility systems, machinery, and other operating functions.
- Assists in designing solutions and implementing projects related to the site/building. Assignments have clear and specific objectives.
- Assists in the design of facilities and building equipment and prepares engineering drawings and specifications as assigned.
- Schedules and coordinates work by outside contractors to ensure adherence to specifications, building codes and completion schedules.
- Prepares estimates, schedules, requisitions and AR's for projects. Assists in planning for future expansion, rearrangements, repairs and rehabilitation of existing facilities.
- Under direction of a Principal or Senior Engineer, participates in analysis and resolution of Design Engineering problems related to building modifications and alterations.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of facility equipment, systems, building maintenance, the general principles, theories, and concepts of mechanical and electrical engineering.
- Possess a good working knowledge of construction methods and building codes that will be used to expand or modify facilities, test operations3 and electrical/power installations.
- Demonstrates analytical, organizational and communication skills.
Work Direction and Latitude:
- Works under general supervision. Follows established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.
- Can initiate and recommend changes to resolve problems or make improvements.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Has responsibility for assigned projects which will include establishing budgets, providing schedules and technical solutions utilizing both internal and external resources. This would include Architects, engineers and contractors.
- Manage project implementation by bidding projects, awarding contracts and managing contractors during
- Ensure all contractors follow Solar safety regulations.
- Work with internal customers to develop project requirements and specifications that will be used for bidding purposes.
- Provides solutions to a variety of facility issues related to the expansion or alteration of the facility and
Liaison:
Primarily intra-organizational with some inter-organizational and outside contacts on routine matters. Communicates with maintenance groups and contractors to ensure operating procedures, building, equipment, and systems contribute to continuous operational up-time.
Business Contribution:
Successful completion of tasks in a timely and professional manner and contribution of ideas that enhance quality
and cost effectiveness organizational effort or project
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently in the process of obtaining a 4 year or advanced degree in Manufacturing/Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related academic field.
- Overall GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must be graduating between 2021-Spring 2023
- Technical knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
- Previous co-op/internship experience.
- Problem solving skills.
- High energy level and sense of urgency.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good business / technical judgment.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities for a variety of tasks.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary for this role ranges from $ 85,954.00, to $128,930.00. Actual salary will be based on experience and degree. The total rewards package, beyond base salary includes:

Summary Pay Range:
$79,587.00 - $143,256.00
