Software Engineer
Position Overview:
The Software Engineer will work on a team of truly talented individuals and be responsible for design and build of Specialty Care Central applications and its components that interface with complex enterprise systems and external vendor systems. Engineer will have solid knowledge of working with complex distributed applications and APIs and have a passion for technologies by solving data integration challenges. Individual will have zeal and drive to be up to speed with latest development in tech arena.
Engineer should be highly motivated, a self-starter and a well-rounded team player who works best in a collaborative and agile environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential as an individual in this role will actively work with remote scrum teams, business owners, enterprise architects, security and infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and enhance existing Dental Claims Processing applications used by consumers as well as operations staff.
Leverage existing open source frameworks, third party components/libraries, cloud and commercial software to design and develop robust enterprise solutions.
Mentality towards integrating and reusing existing capabilities vs building from scratch is highly desired.
Participate in all agile ceremonies effectively.
Act as mentor and technical guide to mid and lower level analysts.
Ability to pick up new concepts and technology rapidly; able to explain it to both business & IT stakeholders.
Required Experience / Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant professional experience
Advanced analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Experience building enterprise applications using Oracle and PL/SQL
Experience building API endpoints using Java Spring boot, NodeJS or equivalent.
Experience querying relational databases (Oracle, Teradata, MySQL, Hadoop Hive, or equivalent).
Experience with log tools such as Splunk etc. a plus
Micro-services Architecture and Rest patterns using leading industry recommended security frameworks like OAuth 2.0.
Expertise in objected-oriented techniques/principles, systems integration using web services and service interfaces, database design and reporting.
Ability to work in Scrum based Agile teams and practice Agile methodologies and ceremonies.
Experience user interfaces using Angular, ReactJS, Vue or equivalent a plus
Desired Experience / Qualifications:
Data Integration (batch, real-time) following Enterprise Integration Patterns.
Relational Database Oracle and Data Modeling,
Database development & tuning (PL/SQL).
Performance (threading, indexing, clustering, caching).
Document-centric data architecture (XML DB/NoSQL).
Knowledge of reporting/BI tools such as Tableau would be plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline strongly preferred, typically eight or more years of solid, diverse work experience in IT with a minimum of five years’ experience in application program development, or the equivalent in education and work experience.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 100,500 - 167,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
